Get ready to bring your imagination to life! This week, you’ll become a digital storyteller, learning how to create amazing animated stories on the computer. We’ll start by taking a classic fairy tale and giving it a modern, coded twist. Then, you’ll learn how to design your own unique characters, giving them cool personalities and even your own voice! It’s time to combine your programming skills with your creativity to become the author, director, and star of your own show.

  • Plan a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end.
  • Turn a classic story into your own unique animated version.
  • Design a cool digital character with its own personality.

Lesson 9.1: Remaking a Classic: Coding a Fairy Tale

Get Ready To: Take a fairy tale you know and love and turn it into a cool animation! You’ll learn how to plan your story scene by scene and then build it with code.

Lesson 9.2: Creating Characters with Personality!

Get Ready To: Be a character designer and a voice actor! You’ll invent your own characters, decide what makes them special, and then record your own voice to make them speak.
